Tentative agreements in paper sector: Vancouver, July 11: CEP has tentative agreements with two employers as pattern bargaining continues in the Western Region Pulp and Paper Sector. A tentative agreement was reached with Canfor Pulp Limited Partnership on July 6th and with Howe Sound Pulp and Paper Limited on July 11th.

The tentative agreements include a wage increase, benefit improvement and improved severance provisions under a four-year term.

If ratified by the membership at these companies, the agreements will serve as a pattern for 14,000 members in the pulp, paper and converting sectors across Western Canada, including 6,000 in B.C.
