CEP Ontario Region Charity Golf Classic. March 9, 2009.
Dear Sister/Brother:Over the past six years the CEP Charity Golf Classic has brought together members, sponsors, volunteers and employers from across the Region and our Union. Together we have raised $196,000.00 for the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Canada, a noteworthy accomplishment.
It is my pleasure to invite you to the Ontario Region 7th Annual Charity Golf Classic, which will be held on June 12 , 2009 at Rolling Meadows Golf course and Niagara Falls Golf Club in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Please register as a team as soon as possible; however, individuals registering will be grouped as best as possible. You must advise us of the number of golf tickets you require by April 15th, 2009. Complete and forward the enclosed golf registration form to Administrative Vice President, Barb Dolan.
The proceeds from the Charity Golf Classic will again be donated to the Spina Bifida Association. Spina Bifida is the number one disabling birth defect in Canada. CEP is committed to doing all it can to raise charitable donations to help the many Canadians who suffer from Spina Bifida. We look forward to this event as an opportunity to make friends, to build solidarity and to show our support for a worthy cause.
Our objective this year is to gather 300 golfers, men and women. We will be doing one shotgun start; however, golfers will be teeing-off at two different golf courses.
Registration will commence at 9:00 a.m. at Rolling Meadows Golf Course. A breakfast/lunch buffet will be served between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and a dinner to follow around 6:00 p.m., both of these will take place at Rolling Meadows. The putting contest will also be held at Rolling Meadows. At 11:30 a.m., a shuttle bus will take the golfers that are teeing-off at Niagara Falls Golf Course to the golf course.
Locals and Companies can sponsor a hole on the golf course and in return your Local number or Company name will be displayed on a sponsor card at that particular hole. In addition, your Local and or Company will be mentioned in the CEP Event Brochure. All donations, prizes or sponsorships for the tournament will be appropriately recognized.
Together we can make the 2009 Charity Golf Classic an even bigger success.
In solidarity,
Bob Huget CEP Vice President, Ontario Regioncc:
Kim Ginter, CEP Administrative Vice President, Ontario Region
Barb Dolan, CEP Administrative Vice President, Ontario Region
